Custom-built Pumps

 
 
The Grundfos standard range is designed to meet the conditions of most industrial applications. However, certain liquids or other technical circumstances may necessitate special pump designs or customization. For instance:
  • Pumping of high-viscosity or sticky liquids
  • NPSH level causes cavitation or vortexing
  • Legal aspects prohibit vertical pump mounting - for instance, on ships or in areas subject to earthquake
  • Application requires pumps without carbon or silicone materials

Horizontally mounted pump




 		 For safety reasons, certain applications - For instance,on ships - require the pump be mounted in the horizontal position. The pump is equipped with brackets that support the motor as well as the pump part for easy installation. CR(I)(N)1/3/5/10/15/20

Low temperature pump down to - 40 °F/-40 °C

 		 In chiller pumps, which may be exposed to temperatures down to -40 °F/-40 °C, it is necessary to alter neck ring dimensions in order to prevent impeller drag.* CRI, CRN 1/3/5/10/15/20
Carbon-fiber-free pump

 		 Certain processes such as those experienced in the electronics industry require the use of pumps containing absolutely no carbon fibers.

Customer ’s nameplate

Custom-colored pumps

Pump with bearing flange
